This documentary feature is a biography of an enthusiastic and inspiring artist: Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. Amos left a comfortable middle-class life and job as a computer programmer to become a printing press artist. He now has a studio (which he also lives in) with several printing presses and book art materials. His posters are controversial and racially charged: questioning the "American Dream" and the American consciousness. Born and raised in the American South, he lives in Alabama (soon to be Virginia), but also lived in Chicago, Italy, and several other places. Through his life and friends he has made across the globe in the art community, he is inspired by other peoples' works and inspires others with his own art.

Proceed and Be Bold follows Amos through art galleries, festivals, while on vacation, making his art; and interviews the artists who inspire him (or are inspired by him) in an attempt to understand this unique and energetic artist.
